Solidor has been designing, engineering and manufacturing composite doors in the UK since 2004 and our original doors still stand the test of time today. The business was set up by Andrew Mobley who sought to bring to the market something genuinely unique, that would give the beautiful appearance of timber, yet with harnessing modern, low maintenance materials.

Over recent years the product development programme has developed at a pace with Solidor being the first company to launch Chartwell Green and Duck Egg blue as new colours in the composite door sector. A number of other market ‘firsts’ have followed with the introduction of the exclusive Avantis locking mechanism and a range of antique hardware to name just a few.

The product development programme also incorporates other leading companies from around the globe, such as Kömmerling who provide a lead free and highly energy efficient door frame. The removal of lead from uPVC products is something supported by Solidor who have set a benchmark in the door sector with their ‘Green Promise’. The protection of the environment is a passion instilled in the company’s founding roots.
